PBT, which belongs to one type of polyester, is a polymer produced from 1,4-butanediol which replaces the raw material glycol of PET. PBT has two more methyls (-CH2) than PET that results in lower coherence among molecules and provides the PBT fiber with flexibility to some extent. In the same time, due to being pulled, its molecular constitution will extend to become a £] form from its conventional £\ form. When the pull force disappears, the £] form will convert to the £\ form. Such a conversion of£\¡÷£] or £]¡÷£\ produces permanent flexibility by using conversion in molecular constitutions.

Excellent dyeing
More colorful in dyeing than ordinary PET, also with lower dyeing temperature and with a longer time of temperature-keeping; no longer any increasing in its dyeing rate and dyeing concentration, with a balanced status reached.
Excellent alkalinity resistance
Almost no phenomenon of hydrolysis or weight reduction in lye,it is extremely excellent alkalinity resistance.
Low tensile strength
Initially its tensile strength is lower than PET that makes it felt softer in touch.
Excellent chlorine resistance
Its water its chlorine resistance is excellent and it will not be compromised in its physical properties and will not generate flexibility fatigue in encountering water. Better chlorine resistance than Spandex.
Applicable Scope
PBT possesses excellent elasticity, alkalinity resistance and easy dyeing and has been applied in a wide variety of elastic clothes and ornaments as well as in fabrics for improving wears and properties.
